Hirofumi ‘Hiro’ Yamamoto is the Chief Financial Officer for The Delta Companies. He has extensive experience leading financial operations for more than 15 years in a variety of leadership roles.
He began his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant for KPMG Japan. During his time with one of the Big-4 accounting firms, Hiro performed financial advisory services such as financial restructuring, M&A and financial due diligence, and led a financial audit for several commercial banks.
Prior to joining TDC, Hiro served as the Deputy General Manager at Mitsui & Co. since 2015. His experience includes serving as Controller and FP&A for Mitsui, delivering financial reporting, business portfolio management, planning and budget controlling, risk management and M&A execution. He also engaged in a turn-around project for one of Mitsui’s affiliated companies in India, where he played a key role in its success.
He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan and then his Master of Business Administration degree from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
Hiro moved to Dallas with his wife and two kids in 2021 and are enjoying their Texas life. He is a world traveler—touring more than 50 countries—and loves photography. He is planning to restart fly fishing, which he had a keen passion for during his college days, in his spare time.
